I'kona is the perfect band for your Polynesian, Hawaiian Lu'au, wedding, anniversary, corporate or private event! Coming from different backgrounds such as the islands of Tonga, Hawai'i, and The Philippines, I'kona brings a positive island style vibe to the stage. The band includes members of the popular 80's band "The Jets", Aaron Watene, Haini Wolfgramm, Chris Vea, Mossi Watene, Ryan Williams, and Ricky Guinto. I'kona was originally formed in 2002 (under the name Juice). Since then they've played every hot venue on the Sunset Strip, Las Vegas strip, Los Angeles, and Orange County. This includes, the Viper Room, Knitting Factory, Key Club, The House of Blues, Humphrey's in San Diego, and The Grove.
I'kona has been invited to play with Blues Traveler, Lit, Pepper, The Long Beach Dub All Stars, Hep Cat, Steel Pulse, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Lucky Dube, Was (Not Was), Flava Flav, Digital Underground and Sizzla.
